A nice feature story on rising Shasta home values from business reporter David Benda in today’s Record Searchlight. Our own Broker Erin Rader is in the front page photo, above the fold mostly. She was showing a possible flip home candidate in Palo Cedro to Seth, of McNeill Construction. He’s a contractor looking for those revenue possibilities that our steadily rising market has opened up. Flipping can be a tough business, though. There are a lot of calculated risks. We can help builders identify the risks and possible rewards.
One key aspect to this story is that increasing sales and values are enabling folks like Seth to work. The building trades represent a lot of our local middle class jobs. Those wages in turn stoke the machinery of local commerce. Which then enables increased home sales, etc.
Then there’s some story about a bank merger. And a new broker for the Stillwater Business Park. But the really delicious headline item looks to be recipes created from leftover pork roast. Thanks RS. Good stuff.
