Obviously this isn’t around here. But Barry is well known to Reddingites and Shasta Countyans, and it is in California. Sounds nice:
“Like Bonds, the home has a presence, sprawling more than 17,000 square feet on a 1.85-acre lot. A circular motor court leads to the Italian-style home’s entrance. An ornate entryway opens with 30-foot ceilings and hand-painted Trompe L’oeil murals. Venetian plaster walls and imported limestone and Italian Travertine flooring continue into the main living areas.
Among the home’s features: a 12-person theater, “commercial-grade” gym and a full spa, which includes ‘steam sauna and tanning salon … a hydrotherapy tub and Swedish full-body therapy rooms.’
Outside there isn’t a baseball diamond, but a 2,100-square-foot sports court, pool and loggia with outdoor kitchen. A two-story guesthouse rounds out the rest of the grounds”
Let me know if you have interest. I’d love to help you buy it.
This mashup is genius. What if ordinary items were advertised using the lingo seen in Craigslist real estate ads? Seen on Huffpost:
Really funny if you shop real estate on Craigslist much. Some of the ads just make you want to groan. Too funny.
Of course, we can barely escape falling into cliche agent-speak ourselves sometimes. Hazards of the job!
Always fun to see a home for sale that’s recognizable from a popular movie.
It seems there’s only this one photo at the link to the Ferris Bueller Home listing agent’s page. Don’t let the price scare you. According to the mortgage calculator on her page it’s a mere $7,686 per month, with $300,000 down, on a $1,200,000 mortgage. Easy peasy.

Famous garage scene starts at 2:55:
Okay, so this is Poison Oak, growing up the house at the foundation.
Note: Do not use native plants for landscaping that have names that begin with “Poison.”
AOL Real Estate has gathered several remarkable images from actual real estate listings. Photos that would leave most people scratching their heads in wonder. Fun to see.

We see awful listing photos like these all the time. But we can’t post images from our own Shasta MLS here. We never know when we might have to work with the agent we just made fun of…
